Hiya found this
http://www.unofficialdarrenhayes.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1492&Itemid=2
To pay per message text/sms to 60999: alert unofficialdarrenhayes darren
Or theres a link you can go through on the page to pay in advance.
Dunno if that helps!
Edited to add: I've just read again, and think you dont need to suscribe at all just unsuscribe! Of which I have no idea how to do! Sorry lol

If there is no credit on your old number don't worry about it hon all you need to do is sign up with your new one instead. you need to text (apart from the quote marks) "alert unofficialdarrenhayes darren" to 60999
Also when you sign up again they'll confirm it for you so read that message as it will include information on how to unsubscribe. :)

Hayley all you need to do is email:
support@txtnation.com
They will sort out a refund for you. Please make sure you include the mobile number that you sent the messages with and you may as well ask them to remove your old number from the alert service at the same time. I have emailed them myself this morning to find out what the problem is and why the alert is coming up as not available.
Its always been a very good service. The charge per message received IS 50p per text.

The query I had with them is sorted out now and the text alerts should be working again - they were working when I sent one out it was just nobody new could sign up.

just got this email:
TXTNATION WROTE:
Dear User:
Thank you for your enquiry. I have checked our records carefully on your behalf.
Unfortunately, we have no record of an incoming message sent from your mobile
phone number ***********. This indicates that you have not paid for the key in
question and we are therefore unable to provide it via email either.
Common causes for us not receiving a delivery report are (a) that you were out
of network coverage at the time you made the purchase; (b) you are blocked by
your network operator from making premium transactions or (c) that you did not
have sufficient credit on your phone to make the transaction.
I regret that I cannot help you any further with your enquiry.
Regards
and here is my reply:
thats rubbish because it is on my bill that 2 messages where recieved
(a) i have FULL coverage here
(b)ive been charged for it so my network provider hasnt blocked it
(c) ive been charged for it so HAVE got enough credit
grr!
