Statement From Darren Hayes Management

"Contrary to recent posts on the internet, the proposed
'Savage Garden Greatest Hits' that had a tentative release
of March 25 has been put on hold at the artists request.
Although Columbia records has the right to release such a
compilation without artist input or consent, they have
agreed to hold off the release in order to let their artists
have input into a revised track listing and package that will
be more unique than the current proposal. We are very
grateful to Columbia for making this decision. It is our
firm belief that Savage Garden's loyal fans deserve a very
special and well thought out retrospective collection. We
will endeavor to do this for you when the time is right."

I'm quite glad they've put it on hold actually. Although I would have liked it sooner the tracklisting could have been better-now they have time to make it more special.

Yes well this was no great surprize... I think they would prefer to have time to really concentrate on a tracklisting and make it something special for fans.. and who can blame them. Darren always wants to give 100% to his fans.

I was looking forward to it too but largely for the wrong reason... it was something to get excited about whilst Darren wasn't around... I do understand however that Darren wants to give us something special and so I can wait. :wink:
