hey everyone!!!
omg wat can i say, it's been 2 days and i'm still on a high.
I found out Friday that i won the m&g for the dublin concert so didn't have long to prepare.lol.
On saturday my mum and myself waited outside vicar street along with many other fans (all so lovely) darren was late.lol
e saw a mini bus arrive and darren jumped out and in threw a door but then he fan out again and ggave us all a wave and shouted something. can't really remember wat it was.lol
so then we all got checked into the sound check, it was so funny, darren came out on stage and started talkin in his yoda voice, it was so cute, i think he kept sayin 'stay' , for watever reason ... he sang 'chained to you' which rocked, also loved the way he combined madonna's sorry with it, then he sang 'to the moon and back' which blew me away, this is by far the best i've heard his voice.
when he finished singing he said to his band ''well i thought i was good, you guys not so much'' lol! so funny, of course he was only joking, the bamd rocked!
He was basically just joking around, having a good time.
then it was over
all the vip's were lead into the bar, i couldn't eat or drink as i was a bag of nerves, maggz called all the meet and greet winners over, their was about 8 in total. we were lead up to his dressing room, all the while shaking like a leaf.lol... 4 us went in at a time.
All i can say is my nerves vanished as soon as i saw that beautiful smile. he shoke hands with us and said 'hi, i'm darren'... he had a chat with us, askin were we were from, i was the only irish girl out of the 4 of us so just told him what county i was from. he was very chatty, and all smiles, just a true gentle man,, i got a little birthday present for him, it was a t-shirt that said 'if you think i'm hot, you should see my fans' ... i thought it was funny anyway
he promised us he would open them later and referred to himself as a 'present slut' .lol! we then got 2 photos each with him. and we had another little chat, on our way out i got a big hug from him, he smelled so good and his hugs were unbelieveable.
To be honest what i'm writing here about him does not do him justice, He is a genuinly nice guy, he's got a heart of gold, and was just so sweet to us all, and gave us all his attension. Another thing that struck me about him is how he holds eye contact with you, he just gazes at you and makes you think your the only person in the room. it was my first time meeting him, and i can't say enough nice things about him. I loved him before but now i love him even more.
so then we went back down to the bar and waited around for about 2 hours, i met lots of lovely people, so sorry i'm so bad with names, but you know who you are and you know that i thought use were so friendly
THE CONCERT!
what can i say about this?
first let me apologise, for some stupid reason, i was half thinking that not alot of people would show up, mainly fot the reason that you never hear darrens name mentioned in ireland. I don't hear him on the radio and i don't see him on nay irish tv shows, but OMG wat a crowd he did attract. All of vicar street was jam packed. it was an all standing venue so everyone was squashed in together. it was a sell out. And the atmosphere was magic!!
darren came out from the back of the hall which none of us thought he would do because their was no isles for him to walk down, but he made his way threw the crowd, jumping up and down, huggin and kissin people, he loved every bit of it. when he eventually got up on stage he got into 'i like your old stuff better then your new stuff' what a catchy number.
then the night began, he was absolutly breath taking.
his voice his moves, his presence. he blew everyone away. everyone in the crowd was singing along to every song from start to finish, i was talking to a lady outside who said that the she never heard the crowd sing so much at any other show had been too. They loved him, i have to admit i felt a little emotional when he said to us '' it's been 4 years, i thought use would have moved, i thought use would have left me behind'' he shouldn't have doubted himself, and the crowd made sure he shouldn't have doubted himself.lol
all in all it was one of the best days of my life.
The people i met were so warm and friendly. And darren was undescribable, i'll never doubt that man as long as i live and i'll never take any notice if someone say anything bad about him. He's a hero.
oh and when he sang truly madly deeply, he spotted me and gave me a big wave and a smile, that me=ade my night to know he recognised me.lol
after the show we were all waiting outside, he came out and signed lots of stuff for everyone, i already had my moment with him so just watched him and took a few pictures. he looked so tired but still gave his all.
i took lots of pics but have no idea how to post them so if someone could mail me and give me some help i'd really appreciate it
i want to say a big thank you to, maggz, their was another lady their aswell who was helping us all but i'm so sorry i forgot her name, all the people who were involved and last but not least darren, for just being him.

p.s. on our way home when we were driving threw dublin we always were a few cars behind darrens mini bus, he must have thought i was a stalker but believe me we were just going the same way. We eventually turned diffrent corners, so strange, i think he was stayin in the 4 seasons as dad said it was the only hotel that was the way he was going.lol
